Pat is the founder and Managing Director of Thompson Dunn. She created the company in 1990 with the desire to focus on the long-term needs of corporate clients.
Pat is an expert in the field of Leadership assessment and development with over 25 years of international experience working with top level individuals, teams and organisations. She helps leaders to strategically grow their organisations through people, whether in selection, promotion or when people need to move on.
She has assessed and coached hundreds of executives from many different countries and cultures. She continues to assess and develop top teams across a wide range of organisations and enjoys facilitating and teaching diverse groups. Pat’s interests are in working with whole organisations, understanding organisational culture and creativity in business.
Pat’s business expertise began in recruitment working as a pioneering business psychologist for Michael Page and later Whitehead Mann in the audit and assessment of top teams. Her career began in education where she was a senior psychologist for the Inner London Education Authority.
Pat is currently writing her first book – “Under the Boardroom Table” that addresses Board level decision-making and the setting of corporate culture.
Pat has an honours degree in Psychology and Certificate in Education from Manchester University. She holds an Msc in Developmental Psychology from London University Institute of Education and later she studied for a further Msc in Organisational Consulting from Ashridge Management College. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, Member of the Associations of Business and Educational Psychology and was recently invited to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Medicine.
